What size crock pot did you use? And did you cook on low or high? I’m guessing high, but wanted to make sure.
April 13, 2012 · Nate ·
I cooked it on HIGH and I used a 4.5 quart crockpot!

Does it need to be real butter? Or would margarine work?
April 13, 2012 · Nate ·
Margarine will work just fine

Hi
I made the cake I cooked it for 2 1/2 hours and still the fork never came out clean actually started to smell burned.
What did I do wrong?
April 14, 2012 · Nate ·
You didn’t do anything wrong at all Jeri. That’s exactly how mine came out. The sauce at the bottom I used to moisten the cake and it makes it AMAZING!!! The only trick is getting the cake OUT. That’s the hardest part. Maria, some crockpots don’t get hot enough and fail to bake. Every crock is different. I have three of them and ONE of mine require me to put a heavy towel on the lid to seal in the heat.

Can you double this recipe and still fit it in the 4.5 quart crockpot? Thanks!

I have this in my crock pot cooking now, I sure hope that it’s good, my husband has been out of town for 3 months and this is his first dinner back home. Serving it up home style with crock pot cooked roast with potatoes, carrots and onions and a side of slaw. Good thing I have more than one crock pot, lol.
